From Hadrian’s Gate to the old marina, the Fluted Minaret to hidden courtyards — a Kaleiçi walking route.
If you find yourself in Antalya, set aside half a day for Kaleiçi. Start at Hadrian’s Gate, built in 130 AD; walking through its three marble arches feels like stepping back two thousand years.
The narrow lanes are lined with restored Ottoman houses, boutique hotels and courtyard cafés. The Seljuk-era Fluted Minaret is the city’s emblem, and the old harbour below it is magical at sunset.
End the evening in Karaalioğlu Park: the view of the Mediterranean and the Beydağları mountains beside Hıdırlık Tower is the day’s perfect finale.
